Gus Meyers is a Los Angeles based songwriter and producer. He has independently released music since 2020. His work spans genres, with a focus on lush acoustic arrangements, tight swung rhythms and infectious vocal melodies.
He writes, records, produces and mixes everything himself. His first project, thewayswelive, came out in 2022 when he was 13: an early showcase of his introspective writing and natural melodic instinct, moving between indie pop and hip hop. It laid the groundwork for composurecomposition in 2024 and the album enouement in 2025, both informed by downtempo, electronica and underground hip hop. The Pastel EP, cut from the same wave as enouement, followed, along with the song star settle later that year.
Early 2026 brought Lust♡Elusive, a dreamy alternative pop record, followed by the singles Forever and Weekend / Bestfriend.
Alongside his solo work he teamed up with CXU, founder of Stereolism Records, in the post-trip hop and electronic duo TIDEFORM, releasing the club-ready dance track The show and the trip hop song Wait on me. In 2026 the two sat down with indie legend Rusty Santos for an interview on dublab, which you can listen to here.
Gus has performed at venues across Los Angeles, and his music has been featured on curated radio stations and on prominent music review and commentary live streams online.
He is also known for his experimental music videos, short films and video work made with Ray LeClair, and for production collaborations with the underground hip hop group KND Syndicate and its affiliated producer 10 PERCENTT, and with New York R&B artist Paris Bryant.
